The Band Perry is "dreaming in color" for their next studio project.
The Band Perry Heart + Beat Album was released in November of 2015. Kimberly, Neil, and Reid all had different ideas for naming the album. The group could not agree on a song title to use – instead Heart + Beat was suggested as the album name because they poured their “hearts” into this album and “Beat” because of the beats in the songs.
“Everything is so colorful and enthusiastic and happy,” Kimberly Perry said. “We’re walking out of the studio with giant smiles on our faces.”
Smiles aren’t the only thing on The Band Perry‘s faces, you will also find the color yellow and the title of their next studio album, Heart + Beat.
While the details are still under wraps, the trio posted on their social media on Friday (Oct. 9) the cover art and title of their third studio album which will contain “Live Forever” (the first single from Heart + Beat) which is currently playing o n country radio.
“With this project we’ve had more fun than we’ve ever had in the studio,” says Kimberly Perry.
“We finally took time off the road to just be able to dedicate to waking up every day and going to sleep every night for about six months just dreaming about the future of our music. And that was a really wonderful thing that we hadn’t given ourselves the luxury to do before. So, it felt really empowered and electrified, woke up each day really excited to go into the studio, and yellow is a color that exuded that for us in this new era.”
“Live Forever” is an upbeat anthem that is perfect for the group’s high-energy live shows. Reid Perry says much of the rest of the album follows suit.
“Everything we do is all a means to get to the live end,” he tells us. “Whenever we do songs we do think of how it’s gonna play live.”
