The summer of Shania just keeps on getting better and better! Check out Shania Twain's new music video for "Life's About To Get Good."
The first single to be released from country music superstar Shania Twain’s upcoming Now album now has a new video to go along with it! The uplifting track opts for triumph over heartbreak, and while the tone is energetic the lyrics are refreshingly honest and real.
In the “Life’s About To Get Good” music video directed by Matthew Cullen, the songbird finds herself breaking away from her pain and being surrounded by a tropical paradise. With the help of some resort staff members, she lets go of mementos from her past— though her iconic “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” music video costume was a keeper! (Yes, she can still rock that outfit at 51-years-old!)
Enjoy the visual story below!
“I was at home, looking out at the ocean, and I said to myself, ‘Here I am stuck in this past of negativity, but it’s so beautiful out. I’m not in the mood to write a feeling-sorry-for-myself song,’” Twain shared about writing the tune. “You can’t have the good without the bad. And that’s what the song ended up being about.”
As fans well know, Twain’s divorce from former husband and producer, Robert John “Mutt” Lange, and the fallout that followed inspired this upbeat song. In the video, Shania even grabs a picture of herself and Lange and dumps him right out of the frame.
All songs on Now were written solely by Shania, who also served as co-producer on the project. Shania worked with four producers across the 16 tracks including Matthew Koma, Ron Aniello (Bruce Springsteen, Gavin DeGraw), Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes) and Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Norah Jones).
