Miranda Lambert Acquires New Roommates In Texas [Pics]

Proud Texan Miranda Lambert isn’t one to stand by and not take action when the state she loves is in dire need of help! The country music star, along with her incredible MuttNation Foundation crew, have traveled down to the Houston area to help animals in need after Hurricane Harvey devastated the heavily populated area.

While on the ground making a big difference, Miranda acquired some super cute new roommates on her rescue tour bus—- Meet ‘Ashley’ and her newborn puppies!

During its first day in the region, the organization was able to transport 72 dogs to safety. Here’s a peek at some of the pups Ran and her hardworking team have saved…

Day two has kicked off and the team is up bright and early to rescue more animals!

If you are in Texas, Oklahoma, or Tennessee— MuttNation has set up drop off locations for supplies. They are asking for the following items:

*Dog Treats
*Cat Litter
*Cat Toys
*Cat Treats
*Bath Towels
*Fleece Blankets

The organization is also currently seeking people in the area with trailers and/or large vehicles that can transport animals from Conroe, TX to Tulsa, OK, please email info@MuttNationfoundation.com if you can help them out directly. They are working to move 300 pets out of the area.

Remember, these animals and many more are headed to animal shelters and rescues nationwide. Please consider fostering and/or adopting animals while organizations scramble to take in an influx of rescues!
