Luke Bryan Releases Lyric Video for “Light It Up” [WATCH]

“Light It Up” is the lead off single to Luke Bryan’s sixth studio album 'What Makes You Country', which will be released on December 8th.

Luke Bryan fans are rejoicing not only because he has released details of his upcoming album, What Makes You Country, but he has also released a lyric video for the sultry lead off single titled “Light It Up”.

Bryan is very excited about the new album coming out and wanted to share the lyric video with his fans to get them excited about the album release, which will be December 8th.

“Making and performing music never gets old and I can honestly say I am having the time of my life. I will be forever grateful to every fan who sings along each night” Bryan said.

“Light It Up” is one of those modern country songs that tackle issues we deal with in our high-tech world, which is sometimes hard to pull off in country music. Bryan nails it with lyrics all of us can relate to, and feel that same anxiety we felt when experiencing this in our own relationships.

I get so neurotic about it baby
‘Cause I know you’re reading your phone
I can’t help from going crazy
Thinking you might not be all alone
I wake up, I check it, I shower and I check it
I feel the buzz in my truck
And I almost wreck it
I always got it on me
Just in case you want me
So, if you’re looking for my love
Then light it up

The song was written by Bryan and Brad Tursi and is one of the tracks on the album that is true to life for Luke Bryan and his wife.

“Me and my wife use text messages to make up. I guess we’ve texted, ‘I’m sorry, I love you,’ probably more than we’ve spoken those words to each other,” Bryan said.

“As long as we’re apologizing and saying we love each other, we’re going down the right path, whether it’s vocally or through text,” he said.

Besides having a brand new album coming out, Bryan is also going to be appearing on the popular singing show American Idol.

“I am so excited and proud to announce I will be one of the three judges on American Idol,” Bryan said in an Instagram video. “I will be joined with the beautiful Ms. Katy Perry and my hero, Mr. Lionel Richie and my fellow Georgia boy, Ryan Seacrest.”
