Keith Urban, Frankie Ballard Cover “Keep Your Hands to Yourself”

Keith Urban and Frankie Ballard rocked the stage with a creative rendition of Georgia Satellites' "Keep Your Hands to Yourself." Watch here!

Fans at the Great Jones County Fair in Monticello, Iowa were in for a treat when these two guitar masterminds took the stage during the show. Emerging country artist Frankie Ballard opened up for headliner Keith Urban earlier in the night, and returned to join the Grammy-winning Australian for a guitar-powered jam session to close out the county fair.

The duo performed their own rockin’ rendition of Georgia Satellites’ 1986 Southern rock hit, “Keep Your Hands to Yourself.” It’s safe to say there was more guitar playing than singing going on; Urban and Ballard nailed two verses of the country classic, then launched into a full-blown five-minute guitar jam. The two traded riffs back and forth and even switched guitars halfway through the act, leaving fans screaming their approval.

The dynamic chemistry between the two guitarists on stage was complemented by the fireworks still erupting in the sky behind them. The energy both on the stage and in the crowd was palpable. The guitar geniuses saluted iconic stars Chuck Berry and Lynyrd Skynrd with their fiery solos reminiscent of the icons’ signature styles.

The county fair went out with a ‘bang,’ thanks to a noteworthy performance, as captured by a video posted by Urban. A still amped up Urban tweeted at Ballard the Monday after, saying “Trading licks AND rides with @FrankieBallard – dude’s a bad ass!!!”

“Keep Your Hands to Yourself” Lyrics

I got a little change in my pocket goin’ jing-a-ling-a-ling
Wants to call you on the telephone baby, a-give you a ring
But each time we talk, I get the same old thing
Always no hug-ee no kiss-ee until I get a weddin’ ring
My honey my baby, don’t put my love upon no shelf
She said don’t hand me no lines and keep your hands to yourself

B-B-B-baby baby baby why you wan’ treat me this way
You know I’m still your lover boy I still feel the same way
That’s when she told me a story, ’bout free milk and a cow
And said no hug-ee no kiss-ee until I get a weddin’ vow
My honey my baby, don’t put my love upon no shelf
She said don’t hand me no lines and keep your hands to yourself

Hold it here
See I wanted her real bad, and I was about to give in
But that’s when she started talking about true love,
Started talking about sin
And I said, honey I’ll live with you for the rest of my life,
She said no hug-ee no kiss-ee until you make me your wife-a
My honey my baby, don’t put my love upon no shelf
She said don’t hand me no lines and keep your hands to yourself
