On May 8th, country music superstar Jason Aldean and wife of 2 years Brittany Kerr broke the happy news that they are expecting their first baby together via Instagram. This little bundle of joy is Brittany’s first child and Jason’s third. The Georgia native has two daughters, 14-year-old Keeley and 9-year-old Kendyl, with ex-wife Jessica Ussery whom he was married to from 2001 to 2013.

It’s a BOY! We love the family’s explosive reaction when the blue confetti burst out of the oversized balloons. Jason’s smile is HUGE! Of course the family celebrated the news with a giant group hug and basked in the outpouring of excited cheers from their family and friends! Congrats to the Aldeans!!!
Despite being a seasoned father, Aldean admitted during an interview with radio station 95.5 Mason in Chicago that he’ll need to brush up on his baby care skills!
“We’re far enough along where we felt comfortable to announce it,” he shared about making the pregnancy public. He also shared that Brittany is in full nursery decorating mode and has thankfully been nausea-free thus far, just more tired than usual.
Back in October, Aldean touched upon the prospect of expanding his family with PEOPLE and how he thought his daughters would respond to a younger sibling.
“Keeley’s always been a mother hen type with babies, so we’d have a built-in babysitter!” he quipped. “And Kendyl has always been the little sister, so for her to be the big sister, I think she’d be pretty stoked.”
The baby boy’s due date hasn’t been revealed yet, but we look forward to meeting mini-Jason in the near future!
