Blake’s portion of the song was recorded at Blake’s studio in Oklahoma at his Lake House property on Lake Texohma.  You can see Gwen appear at the Lake Studio in this Instagram video.  Both Gwen Stefani and his beloved dog, Betty, joined Blake in the studio for his recording of “Hell Right” tracks.

Gwen Stefani appears in Hell Right Music Video riding her very own horse (Halo) that Blake had given her as a present in January of 2016.  Gwen’s horse stays at Blake’s ranch property in Oklahoma.  The shooting of the horse rider scene is fairly dark and you can’t really make out each individual rider in the video.

Watch the behind the scenes footage for making the video as Trace Adkins adds his voice track to the video in the Los Angeles studio.  “When it came time to making the video for ‘God’s Country,’ I was a little bit nervous,” Shelton explained in prior interviews. “I wanted to ask Sophie Muller to come to Oklahoma and make a music video for me. If you know anything about Sophie, you should Google her. She’s one of the more successful and in-demand music video directors.”  “She came out here to the ranch, filmed the music video, which included burning a lot of things, creating a storm with a helicopter, walking through creeks, cutting wood, all kinds of stuff. Waterfalls. The good and the bad. Rattlesnakes. The good, beautiful things of God’s country, and also the wrath of God, and they all come together.”

Hell Right Lyrics

(Hey)
Yeah?
(Tell ’em that story you were tellin’ me)

A couple boys clock out about 5:35
Tryna put a little hammer in their head
Standing in the liquor store, staring at a fifth
But they picked up a handle instead
Hell right (Hell right?)
Hell right (Okay)

Couple girls with their boots on got their Bluetooth on, T-shirts sayin “Go Sooners”
Then the girl from the small town took off the Old Town, put on a little Hank Jr. (Thank God)
Hell right
She got all her rowdy friends comin’ over tonight

Hell right, hell right
Everybody’s throwin’ down on a Friday night
Somewhere in America
There’s a bottle to burn and a fire to light
And you ain’t done nothin’ if you did it half way
If you gonna raise hell, then you better damn raise
Hell right
Hell right
Hell right

There’s a guitar on the ground that was making some sound
‘Til somebody pulled a hillbilly slip
Now there’s fog on the window, she never would’ve kissed him
If he didn’t play a lick like this
Hell right
Hell right

Hell right, hell right
Everybody’s throwin’ down on a Friday night
Somewhere in America
There’s a bottle to burn and a fire to light
And you ain’t done nothin’ if you did it half way
If you gonna raise hell, then you better damn raise
Hell right
Hell right
Hell right

Now it’s 7 AM, damn if there ain’t an empty handle on a square hay bale
Everybody’s passed out drunk, but when they wake up, they’re all gonna hurt like hell right
Yeah boy

Hell right, hell right
Everybody’s throwin’ down on a Friday night
Somewhere in America
There’s a bottle to burn and a fire to light
And you ain’t done nothin’ if you did it half way
If you gonna raise hell, then you better damn raise
Hell right
Hell right
Hell right
