Back in December, Maren chatted with Taste of Country about the reoccurring themes in some of her songs in the album. “There’s a few songs on the record that will kind of address the chaos that is the world at the moment — but in a human way,” Morris said.
Most song titles featured in Girl will be new to all (minus “Girl” and “Common”) except for a few special fans who heard portions of tracks during a 2018 private listening party.
Maren’s new album features two collaborations, “Common” with Brandi Carlile and “All My Favorite People” with Brothers Osborne. The songstress previously worked with her good friends John and TJ Osborne to create “Greener Pastures” which is included in the Brothers Osborne Pawn Shop Album.
Morris revealed she has been working and rehearsing hard as she will kick off her Girl: The World Tour at the beginning of March. “my [heart emoji]🖤 is exploding seeing #GIRLTHEWORLDTOUR come to life. i’m sore as hell from the movement these songs have but holy eff the band + crew are killing it. i’m excited for you to see it” she took to the ‘gram.
Be sure to share Maren’s Girl album track list update with other fans and catch her out on the road!
