The CMA Awards marks its 50th anniversary in November. In celebration of the milestone, country music’s biggest names and rising stars are paying tribute to some of the most nominated and awarded songs from the past five decades in the official “Forever Country Covers” series.
In the first video in the series, “Dirt On My Boots” crooner Jon Pardi covers country icon Randy Travis’ 1987 smash hit “Forever and Ever, Amen.” The tune written by Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz was the 1987 CMA ‘Single of the Year.’
