Florida Georgia Line's “God, Your Mama, And Me” collaboration with the Backstreet Boys has certainly paid off! More here.
Country music duo Florida Georgia Line just nabbed their 13th career No. 1 hit on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country Airplay charts with “God, Your Mama, And Me,” the group’s collaboration with the Backstreet Boys. The chart-topping ballad was written by Josh Kear, Hillary Lindsey, and Gordie Sampson.
“Wow. Country radio, you have made this the best Monday morning,” shares Tyler Hubbard. “Finding out that ‘God, Your Mama, And Me’ went #1 is surreal – really cool to be a part of Backstreet Boys’ first Country #1!”
Brian Kelley adds, “If you told me growing up that I would share a #1 song with BSB, I would have told you to get outta here! Dream big, work hard, surround yourself with an amazing team and anything is possible.”
“We’re fans of each other and that’s one of the reasons why the song works so well,” stated Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter. “I’m glad it’s with these boys that we just reached #1 at Country radio for the first time.”
All three singles— including “H.O.L.Y.” and “May We All” featuring country star Tim McGraw— from FGL’s Dig Your Roots album have now peaked at No. 1.
In early June, Hubbard and Kelley kicked off The Smooth Tour 2017, featuring hip-hop icon Nelly and emerging country artist Chris Lane, newcomers with Ryan Hurd, Morgan Wallen, and Russell Dickerson on select dates. As previously revealed, the Backstreet Boys will join FGL’s first-ever headline stadium shows in Boston (7/7), Minneapolis (7/29) and Chicago (8/12). The star-studded tour is set to wrap on October 7th in Portland, Oregon.
