In an interview with iHeart Radio, Justin stated, “‘Seein’ Red’ signifies where chapter three, the one that has not been finished or named yet, is headed. It’s where we’re headed musically, it’s where we’re headed visually, it’s where we’re headed on the road, and I’m really, really excited about this song.” He describes the track as “the perfect mashup of sexy, party, feel-good, and a little flirty,” and is “the song [he’s] been looking to write his whole career. “The color red is energy. It’s action, it’s desire, and it’s passion. It makes our heart rate rise, increases our blood pressure, and fuels the release of adrenaline. You don’t just see the color red, you feel the color red.”
