Over the past 30 years, Craig Morgan and his family have built a wonderful life together and they're about to embark on a new chapter!
Since 1988, country music artist Craig Morgan (born Craig Morgan Greer) and his wife Karen have been happily married. Their many years together have provided them with many experiences, good and bad. Now, the country music artist and his family are embarking on a new adventure. They’re set to premiere their television docu-series on March 1st.
Straight out of high school, Craig Morgan Greer started out as an emergency medical technician. Later, he served his country for over 9 years with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions of the United States Army. He continued to serve for another 6 and a half years in the U.S. Army Reserves. In 2000, Morgan signed with Atlantic Records and recorded his debut album titled Craig Morgan. During the next few years he released three more albums with Broken Bow Records. From February 2012 to June 2016, Morgan released two more albums with Black River Entertainment.
Together Craig and Karen have had 4 children, daughter – Alexandra, and three sons – Kyle, Jerry, and Wyatt. Unfortunately, on July 10th, 2016, they experienced a parent’s worst nightmare when their son Jerry, at the age of 19, was killed in a tubing accident on Kentucky Lake. Jerry’s death devastated the family, but together they’ve dealt with their loss and have grown stronger.
Music isn’t Craig Morgan’s only talent. The country music artist also raises bees, wood works, and creates one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture. Craig’s creative skills became the foundation for the family business – The Gallery at Morgan Farms in Dickson, Tennessee. Items sold at the business include honey, beeswax products, hand-made wooden bowls, spoons, and cutting boards. Craig’s wife, Karen, their daughter, Alexandra Beaird, and other family members produce quilts and other textile items. The central theme of their business is to reclaim, re-purpose, and recycle materials to create new merchandise to sell. Many of the profits go to the Jerry Greer Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Craig Morgan Dickson County Foundation. In an interview with Nashville Country Daily last September, Morgan said, “I love being home. It’s my hometown. Doing this store, we get to help support the community of Dickson.”
According to Craig Morgan’s website, Karen and Craig’s family will be the subject of a docu-series titled, “Morgan Family Strong” produced for the Up TV network by Nashville-based Heart Bridge Media. The premiere is scheduled for March 1st at 9:30 ET. In the program’s first season, the viewing audience will get to see Craig writing songs and preparing for his upcoming album, the opening of The Gallery at Morgan Farms, and a family vacation to Alaska. This new adventure will surely be an insightful peek into the life of Craig Morgan and his wonderful family.
