Chris Stapleton’s ‘From A Room: Volume 2′ Album Scores No. 1 Debut

Chris Stapleton has another winner on his hands with his 'From A Room: Volume 2' album, which was released on December 1st. More here!

Country music phenomenon Chris Stapleton can add another accomplishment to his growing list, his From A Room: Volume 2 album has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart! The Kentucky native’s From A Room: Volume 1 album, which dropped earlier this year, also debuted at No.1 upon its release. Both Volume 1 and Volume 2 take their name from Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A (the capital “A” in From A Room) where they were recorded with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb. That’s TWO No. 1 album debuts for 2017! Congrats!

As revealed late last month, the singer-songwriter leads the country music pack with three Grammy Award nominations, including ‘Best Country Solo Performance’ (for “Either Way”), ‘Best Country Song’ (for “Broken Halos”), and ‘Best Country Album’ (for From A Room: Volume 1). The 60th edition of the ceremony will take place at New York’s Madison Square Garden on January 28th and broadcast live via CBS from 7:30 to 11 p.m. ET.

On a more personal note, Chris and his wife/ musical collaborator Morgane are expecting twins next year. The couple who married in 2007 are already proud parents of a young son and daughter.

“Nobody’s Lonely Tonight” Lyrics

Sitting here it’s closing time
You’ve got your troubles
And I bet they’re just like mine
Somebody told you goodbye

But I know a way
We can’t go wrong
And nobody leads nobody on
And nobody’s lonely tonight

(chorus)
What’s love but
Just some illusion we believe
What’s love but
Just some confusion we don’t need

(repeat chorus)
You be her
And I’ll be him
And for a while we’ll pretend
Nobody’s lonely tonight
