Carrie Underwood’s American Idol Audition

With all the great country singers we are seeing emerge from the American Idol auditions we thought we would take a look back at one of the greatest country artists that ever graced the American Idol stage.

Carrie Underwood auditioned and ultimately won Season 4 of American Idol. Before American Idol Carrie Underwood was just a simple country girl who had never even been on a plane as she describes. But the judges saw something special in her and America fell in love with her. For her audition Carrie performed Bonnie Raitt classic “I Can’t Make You Love Me”. She also won over the judges with her cute and genuine personality. She describes being a little afraid of Simon Cowell and showcases a unique talent of being able to cluck like a chicken. Who wasn’t afraid of Simon Cowell?

That video above may have been what most of you saw when you tuned in to American Idol on TV, but check out this extended audition video below. Carrie Underwood shares some more personal details and talks about her Football days.
