Country music singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood's new song "Love Wins" has an important message that we all need to hear! Watch the music video!
The latest track off of country music entertainer Carrie Underwood‘s upcoming sixth studio album Cry Pretty sends a strong message. “Love Wins” directly addresses the divisions and struggles the United States is currently facing. Though the tune brings up some big national issues, it’s a song of hope and togetherness.
“I do think that we as humans are inherently good and we need to remember that. Because we’re different, that doesn’t make somebody else bad, it just makes us different,” the Oklahoman recently explained via country radio. “We wanted that song to be hopeful and to maybe make somebody stop and think about that.”
Underwood and her co-writers Brett James and David Garcia get straight to the point with lyrics like— Politics and prejudice, how the hell’d it ever come to this / when everybody’s gotta pick a side / it don’t matter if you’re wrong or right.

“We weren’t trying to speak negatively about our world, because we live in an amazing world, but I feel like we get really caught up in surface things and I feel like in this world, we’re quick to get angry at each other,” Underwood also shared with multiple media outlets in Nashville about the song. “I personally think that we’re all different for a reason. I feel like if you just sit down and talk to somebody who’s not like you and keep it calm, we can all learn from each other.”

“Love Wins” Lyrics
A stray bullet and a momma cries
Her baby won’t be coming home tonight
Sirens screaming down the avenue
Just another story on the evening news, oh woah
Politics and prejudice
How the hell it’d ever come to this
When everybody’s gotta pick a side
It don’t matter if you’re wrong or right, no, and so it goes
But I hold onto hope and I won’t let go cause
I, I believe you and me are sisters and brothers
And I, I believe we’re made to be here for each other
And we’ll never fall if we walk hand in hand
Put a world that seems broken together again
Yeah I, I believe in the end love wins
Sometimes it takes a lot of faith
To keep believing there will come a day
When the tears and the sadness, the pain and the hate
The struggle, this madness, will all fade away, yeah
I, I believe you and me are sisters and brothers
And I, I believe we’re made to be here for each other
And we’ll never fall if we walk hand in hand
Put a world that seems broken together again
Yeah I, I believe in the end love wins
Love is power, love is a smile
Love reaches out, love is the remedy
Love is the answer, love’s an open door
Love is the only thing worth fighting for, yeah
I, I believe you and me are sisters and brothers
And I, I believe we’re made to be here for each other
And we’ll never fall if we walk hand in hand
Put a world that seems broken together again
Yeah I, I believe in the end love wins
Oh yeah, love wins
Love will, love can, love still, love wins
Love will, love can, love still, love wins
