Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s famous duet, “Islands in the Stream,” was penned by the Bee Gees (Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb) and was originally written for Marvin Gaye. The track was released in August 1983 as the first single from Rogers’ album Eyes That See in the Dark.
