Blake Shelton Makes BIG Donation to Children’s Hospital

While in Oklahoma over the weekend, Blake Shelton made a generous donation to a local children's hospital. More on his surprise here...

While performing in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma over the weekend, Blake Shelton took time out of his Saturday night concert to present two doctors from the Jimmy Everest Center, an Oklahoma University hospital for children with blood cancer and blood disorders, with a check for $600,000.

The country star explained to the crowd that his cousin’s daughter, Aspen, was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and was treated at the Jimmy Everest Center.

“We didn’t know what was going to happen,” Shelton said while his cousin and Aspen joined him onstage, “and you can see that she’s here right now.”

“They don’t turn any kids away. You come in there, you have a problem, they don’t turn anybody away,” Shelton told the cheering audience, “so I thought, ‘That’s a place that needs some money.’”

The Oklahoma concerts’ proceeds were donated to the children’s cancer center.

“Let’s all do the right thing,” he stated. “This is our money, Oklahoma.”
