Country music hit-maker Alan Jackson's sprawling lakefront estate is a must-see! Take a look around right here and dream...
Country music icon Alan Jackson’s gorgeous lakeside Clarkesville, Georgia estate is now on the market for a cool $6.4 million. The tastefully ‘cottage chic’ and rustic property is located on Lake Burton, about 90 miles northeast off Atlanta, and sits on 1.2 acres in an exclusive gated community. While the 5 bed room 9 bath interior features all the bells and whistles a person could ever want— a centrally located professionally equipped kitchen, spacious family room, comfy dining area, and lakeside screened porch with fireplace— the exterior puts this place over-the-top. Additional outdoor living spaces include a terrace level covered porch, flagstone patio with fire pit, and a 2-story boathouse with swim dock.
“Mr. Jackson did major renovations to the house, including opening up the great room, updating the kitchen, putting in a fireplace on the porch and redesigning the landscape,” listing agent Julie Barnett shared with Mansion Global. “The floor-to-ceiling windows offers spectacular views of sunsets, boats on Lake Burton and Appalachian mountains.”
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the award-winning country icon resides in the home with his wife, Denise, and their daughters. No word on why the Jackson family is looking to part with this slice of paradise, but their loss will certainly be someone else’s gain. Over the past seven years, the family has sold off a few other properties such as their $28 million primary Nashville residence, a $15 million Florida estate, and a nearly $5 million lake house located in Tennessee.
