Thomas Rhett defend the number one position another week with his smash hit “Die a Happy Man”.   Check out the top Country Music video contenders for the week.

Thomas Rhett remains at #1 with Die a Happy Man ( 1 of 3)  

The popular song hit Gold and held the #1 position on the Country Music charts for several weeks.   Rhett has said that he wrote the song for his wife Lauren who incidentally appears in the video as his costar.


#2 is Cole Swindell with “You Should Be Here” (2 of 3)

“You Should Be Here” is a song Cole Swindell released last year which was inspired by the passing of his father.   “At first, I wrote it thinking of my dad,” Swindell says.   “But now, hearing everybody else’s stories, it’s not just about my dad. This song’s for everybody and that’s, it’s heartbreaking, but that’s the power of music.”


#3 is Carrie Underwood with “Heartbeat” (3 of 3)

Heartbeat” is from Carrie Underwood’s fifth studio album, Storyteller.   The song was written by Underwood, Ashley Gorley, and the song’s producer Zach Crowell.  Sam Hunt performs the backing voalcs for this popular track.  The song and lyrics are about the feeling of intimacy experienced by being alone with one’s lover and is reportedly inspired by Underwood’s marriage to NHL Hockey player Mike Fisher.
