Country music legend Randy Travis made a special trip to the local police station with a meaningful gift in tow. More here!

While working on Christmas Day, Gainesville, Texas police Officer Keith Bartlett got a very unexpected surprise from country music icon Randy Travis!

To pull off the surprise, Bartlett was called away from the station out to check on a non-existent suspicious vehicle. Upon his return, he was greeted by Randy Travis, along with wife Mary, and his own family.

According to local news station NBC DFW, Officer Bartlett first met the Travis family a few years ago after responding to a theft at their estate. Fast forward to 2016 and sadly the Bartlett family lost their home and most of their belongings to a fire on December 12th.

Among the items lost was Keith’s beloved Gibson guitar. Well, Randy Travis showed up with a brand new Gibson acoustic guitar to give the musically gifted lawman.

“When Randy found out about this tragedy, Randy wanted to help him out,” Gainesville Police Officer Michael Green told news outlet FOX KXII.

“I turned around and my son Kyle was walking in with a brand new Epiphone Masterbilt guitar that is absolutely beautiful,” Bartlett said.

“We were all very surprised and excited for him and to see Randy,” Bartlett’s son Kyle added.

Now Officer Bartlett can get back to playing guitar every day as the family rebuilds their lives. We love how Travis stepped up to help someone who was there for him in the past— truly a full-circle moment.
