Luke Bryan likes to practice what he preaches. Or in this case, sings.

Luke Bryan‘s Kill The Lights Tour has already proven to be one of his best yet. The country megastar recently debuted a new song on one of the stops on this tour, an ode to chivalry called “Southern Gentleman.”

But what does it exactly mean to be a respectable southern man? In an interview with The Boot, Luke explains that “a southern gentleman is … there’s a lot of parameters of that. I think holding women in the utmost highest respect and being polite and being a classy person is certainly a definition of a southern gentleman. Conducting yourself with manners and etiquette and being a good person.”

“Southern Gentleman” has been confirmed to appear on Bryan’s upcoming EP, Here’s To The Farmer, which will be released on Sept. 23rd. Luke’s annual Farm Tour will kick off in October.
