Garth Brooks Leads the Country Music Genre on Forbes’ 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities List

Garth Brooks makes the list--- who else from the Nashville scene joins him?

Forbes has released its annual list of “The World’s Highest-Paid Celebrities”— and some of country music’s elite performers have made the cut.

Garth Brooks, 54, comes in at No. 15 on the list, having made $70 million from music sales and his record-breaking World Tour with wife Trisha Yearwood. Kenny Chesney lands at No. 26 with $56 million in earnings from his music, tours, and business ventures; Luke Bryan is on the list at No. 37 with $53 million; Toby Keith appears at No. 47 with $47.5 million; and Jason Aldean rounds out the top country earners at No. 75 with a healthy $36.5 million.

Interesting note, former country music darling Taylor Swift took the coveted No. 1 spot with a jaw-dropping $170 million in earnings over the past year. Yeah, we think she’s getting along just fine in the Pop music genre.

Also interesting to think over— the 100 individuals on this list pulled in $5.1 billion total over the past 12 months, more than the combined Gross Domestic Product of Belize, Gambia, and Bhutan. Whoa.
