Florida Georgia Line is switching things up this go around!

Florida Georgia Line, comprised of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, reveled some interesting tidbits about their latest project when they sat down to chat with Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton.

“The album will be called ‘Dig Your Roots,’ so we named the tour that,” explained the record-breaking country duo. “It’s a song we wrote last year, and we love that song, it represents the album as a whole, where we’re at, where we’re headed. It feels good, it’s more mature, and we don’t want to make the same album. The songs are better. They’re deeper.”

Brian Kelley’s voice will be in the spotlight more this time.

“And I should point out that BK has more lead vocals on this album, which is different from the last albums as well,” Hubbard quipped. “He’s singing the whole song on three songs on the album. It’s been great to grow together as singers and vocalists, BK sings lead, I sing harmony, we’re excited. It’s gonna be cool to do live.”

Even better, the vocal talents of Tim McGraw will also be featured on the project.

“We’ve got a little news, a collaboration with Mr. Tim McGraw on our new album. We’re super excited. It sounds amazing, the song is a huge anthem. It’s 100% dream come true to have a song with him, doesn’t sound like anything else on the radio right now,” Florida Georgia Line revealed. “We got some hang time with him at the ACMs, and it happened quick, he loved the song, and wanted to put his voice on it.”

The new record his expected to be released this August. After a six month break form the road, fans can catch Florida Georgia Line on their Dig Your Roots Tour beginning May 12th. Cole Swindell, The Cadillac Three, and Kane Brown are also along for the ride!

“We’re going to have an epic tour. We worked really hard planning this tour so visually our fans will see something different. We’re trying to incorporate more Florida and more Georgia so when you arrive you’re set in the scene, and it continues to evolve so at the end of the night you end up in a cool place,” stated the duo.

It will be interesting to see which track features McGraw, it’s said to be a ‘big anthem.’ Hit the button below to keep up with more Florida Georgia Line news!
