Country on the River: The Ultimate Country Music Party

For seven consecutive summers now, Wisconsin has put on the show of a lifetime for real country music fans. Held just outside of Prairie du Chien, Country on the River has hosted the ultimate country party. The 3 day event is packed with performances from the biggest names in country music and the opportunity to camp directly on the grounds adds another layer of fun.

The festival began in 2011 and was originally held on Prairie du Chien’s St. Feriole Island on the Mississippi River. It saw immediate success with a lineup including performers such as Blake Shelton, Joe Nichols, Terri Clark and more.

The third annual Country on the River event marked the first time that the festival was held at its current and permanent location just outside of Prairie du Chien. The crowd continued to expand, and so too did the on-site camping. The talent did not waiver, with performers including Luke Byan, Eric Church, Travis Tritt and many more.

Last year, Country on the River saw its best year to date. Performers included Kid Rock, Lee Brice, Billy Currington, Eli Young Band, Montgomery Gentry, Eric Paslay and many more throughout the 3 day weekend in August.

2017’s Country on the River lineup has not yet been released, but fans are confident that it will not disappoint.
